Job summary

RWE Generation UK offers an engineering placement at Didcot B CCGT Power Station in Oxfordshire. You will gain hands-on experience supporting mechanical systems with on-site training and exposure to central engineering activities.

Part of the Gas Engineering and Outage Group, this 13-month fixed-term placement is ideal for a student pursuing a BEng/MEng in Mechanical Engineering with an industrial placement year, eager to develop practical skills and contribute to outage projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BEng or MEng Mechanical Engineering degree with an industrial placement year.
• Interest in project coordination.
• Degree should include an industrial placement year to meet role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Undertake data analysis to diagnose problems and support long- and short-term projects.
• Gain on-site experience and practical skills through training.
• Support development of pressure system asset integrity processes.
• Deliver plant improvement projects and plant investigations.
• Assist in delivering a significant HRSG outage (subject to outage scheduling).
