Job summary

Hunter Education Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join FE colleges across the UK, delivering high quality teaching across BTEC, T Level and Level 2-3 programmes with a blend of classroom theory and practical workshops.

Ideal candidates will have strong industry experience and a relevant qualification; PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable, along with a genuine passion for developing the next generation of engineers.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrical Engineering degree or higher with Level 3+ in Electrical Engineering.
  • Significant industry experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience delivering BTEC and/or T Level Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Electrical Engineering lessons across BTEC, T Level and Level 2-3 programmes.
  • Combine classroom theory with practical workshop sessions.
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials and resources.
  • Support learners' academic and practical development.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate support.

Electrical Engineering Lecturer - FE College

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineering Lecturer looking to take the next step in your career?

We are currently working with a number of FE colleges across the UK who are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electrical Engineering Lecturers to join their teams.

These opportunities are ideal for experienced lecturers already working within FE, as well as industry professionals looking to move into teaching and share their knowledge with the next generation of engineers.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineering Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across BTEC, T Level and Level 2-3 Electrical Engineering programmes.

You will be delivering a combination of classroom-based theory and practical workshop sessions, supporting learners to develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required for a successful career within the engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective Electrical Engineering lessons
  • Teach across BTEC, T Level and Level 2-3 programmes
  • Deliver both theoretical and practical engineering sessions
  • Plan and prepare engaging lesson materials and resources
  • Support learners with their academic and practical development
  • Monitor learner progress and provide appropriate support
Requirements
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Strong industry experience within Electrical Engineering
  • Experience delivering BTEC and/or T Level Engineering is highly desirable
  • Previous teaching or lecturing experience is advantageous
  • PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting and developing the next generation of engineers
  • Experienced Electrical Engineers looking to transition from industry into FE are also encouraged to apply.
