Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver electrical engineering input for projects in the Anglian Water region. The role focuses on LV electrical installations, distribution systems and instrumentation, with collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and site involvement in Peterborough.

Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer and a strong electrical engineering background are preferred, along with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Strong Electrical Engineering background.
• Willingness to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems, including specifications, data sheets and drawings.
• Design and specify LV assemblies (MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels).
• Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (schematics, cable calculations, termination diagrams).
• Liaise with the construction team, operations, suppliers and utility companies on technical issues.
• Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design.
