Job summary

Sweco seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering input for Anglian Water region projects. You will design LV installations and assemblies, review designs, and liaise with construction, operations and utilities.

The role requires a collaborative approach, site visits, and a full UK driving licence. Sweco supports flexible and hybrid working and offers progression opportunities across our sustainability-focused teams.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
  • Strong Electrical Engineering background.
  • Willingness to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to solve complex problems.
  • Experience in the Water Industry is an advantage.
  • Site visits will be required; a full UK driving licence is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems (specifications, schedules, data sheets, drawings).
  • Design and specify LV Assemblies (MCC, LV switchboards, control panels) with related data sheets and drawings.
  • Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (schematics, cable calculations, termination diagrams).
  • Liaise with technical teams, construction, operations, suppliers and utilities.
  • Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design.

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll provide Electrical Engineering technical input to projects in the Anglian Water region.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings.
  • Design and specify LV Assemblies particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings (i.e. MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels)
  • Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (i.e. electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams)
  • Liaise with others on technical issues, the construction team, operations, suppliers, and utility companies.
  • Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design.
About You

You will ideally have:

  • Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
  • Strong Electrical Engineering background
  • Willingness to be collaborative and work with a multi disciplined team, working together to solve complex problems
  • Experience in the Water Industry is an advantage
  • As site visits will be required, you will need a full UK driving licence.
