Job summary

Sweco in the Anglian Water @one Alliance is seeking a Project Manager to lead project teams, ensure safe, on-time delivery, and meet commercial targets within AMP8. You will drive efficiency, governance, and collaboration across the alliance and industry partners.

You will coordinate with multiple projects, oversee risk management, and ensure compliance with NEC Option C contracts, health and safety standards, and delivering value-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the water industry, with knowledge of health & safety, drinking water standards, and CDM.
  • IOSH qualification and experience with NEC Option C contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a performance-driven environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence decisions.
  • APMP qualification (desirable) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing high-performing teams of engineers and commercial staff, fostering an innovative and collaborative culture.
  • Ensuring CDM compliance, conducting audits and peer reviews to embed a zero-harm approach.
  • Translating programme strategy into actionable outcomes, ensuring teams are aligned and resourced correctly.
  • Managing projects from inception to handover, resolving operational challenges and post-handover warranty issues.
  • Overseeing cost and resource forecasts, mitigating risks and escalating key issues where required.
  • Ensuring solutions are safe, commercially viable, and fit for purpose, while delivering value-driven outcomes.
  • Maintaining project milestones, ensuring key deliverables such as Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly are achieved.
  • Driving collaboration and knowledge sharing across the @one Alliance and industry partners.

Project Manager, you’ll oversee project teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards while meeting commercial and regulatory expectations. You’ll drive efficiency, compliance, and collaboration to help us outperform against ambitious AMP8 targets.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive experience in the water industry, with strong knowledge of health & safety, drinking water standards, and CDM regulations.
  • IOSH qualification and experience working within a commercial framework, including NEC Option C contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a performance-driven environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to work strategically and delegate effectively, empowering teams to deliver results.
  • APMP qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
