Job summary

Hoare Lea in Manchester is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to high-quality, sustainable electrical designs across multiple built-environment projects. You will join our Manchester office, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust, compliant solutions to clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering, industry membership preferred.
• Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
• Ability to produce calculations and drawings for LV distribution and lighting.

Responsibilities

• Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception through to completion.
• Produce electrical calculations, drawings and technical documentation to standards.
• Coordinate electrical design with MEP and other disciplines.
• Review contractor submissions and site installations against the design intent.
• Attend design team and client meetings and report progress.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities and support handover docs.
• Manage workload to meet programme deliverables and report to line manager.
• Contribute to the development of junior staff.
