Job description

• Working to tight schedules, overseeing operational maintenance, repairs, and performing Senior Authorised Person (SAP) duties in issuing HV and Low Voltage Permits to Work.
• Effective management of defect work and HV commissioning, including Capital Projects with electrical contracts valuing up to £20M.
• Acting as Lead SAP for several operational sites with varying sizes and complexity, comprising a wide range of HV and LV switchgear, equipment, and transformers.
• Participation in the team on-call out-of-hours rota.

Base Location – Beckton STW- IG11 0AD.

36 hours per week, Monday-Friday, plus the inclusion of a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.

All PPE, tools, and a car allowance will be provided.

What you should bring to the role

• Experience in the electrical industry, fault finding on high voltage equipment, and a clear understanding of BS7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) are key to the success of this role.
• Sufficient training, qualification, and experience as an Authorised Person are necessary, and an understanding of water/wastewater processes and their relationship to electrical power distribution systems is desirable.
• You should be a good team player, possess good analytical and interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator, and willing to face challenging issues.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of this role.
