EXPEDITE RECRUITMENT SERVICES LIMITED is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a Plymouth-based Building Services consultancy. You will deliver electrical design for buildings and infrastructure, support budgets, liaise with clients and external designers, and ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires a degree and 5+ years in Building Services, with proficiency in AutoCAD, NES, Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux and MS Office. Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical or building services engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of Building Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical building services designs for projects.
• Monitor budgets to ensure work is delivered on time and on budget.
• Liaise with clients and external designers.
• Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents to required technical quality and standards.
• Provide electrical building services design for buildings and infrastructure (power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data).
• Identify scope changes and manage cost control.

Basics of the role

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects, including providing technical support
• Monitor budgets for clients based on their specifications to ensure work is delivered to budget and timescales
• Liaise with clients and external designers
• Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents to the required technical quality, ensuring designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures
• Provide electrical building services design to buildings and infrastructure (including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and data systems)
• Identify scope changes, under the change control process, and maintain planning and cost control
