Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to rail and built environment projects from outline to detailed design, ensuring multi-disciplinary coordination and compliance with procedures. You will report progress to senior engineers and support safety throughout the design lifecycle.

The role requires knowledge of electrical services in transport infra, experience with calculation software, and a relevant qualification such as an HNC.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure.
• Experience using industry wide software for electrical calculation purposes.
• Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with railway lineside systems and/or the Built Environment.
• HNC or equivalent qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed design for multi or single disciplinary projects as required
• Follow and check procedures throughout project delivery
• Interface with other disciplines and 3rd parties / external Engineers to ensure a multi-disciplinary design is developed, if appropriate to project specifications
• Report updates to senior Engineers, technical leads and the project management team on project progress
• Apply procedures and systems to ensure the safety of staff and others affected by the operations of SYSTRA throughout design lifecycle
• Contribute to company-wide goals and business improvement
• Continue your own professional development with support from SYSTRA in line with your professional body.
