Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an engineer to work on multi-disciplinary infrastructure and rail projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable electrical designs and collaborate with industry experts. Responsibilities include working on significant projects with HS2, Networkrail, and LU clients, ensuring project milestones are achieved, and engaging with contractors through various stages of design and commissioning. The position supports hybrid working, health and wellbeing programs, and offers training and mentoring opportunities.

About the role

Multi‑disciplinary infrastructure / rail projects – opportunity to contribute and develop energy‑efficient and sustainable electrical design. Work with industry experts on various projects, spanning all sizes and stages.

  • Work on rail projects mainly with HS2, Networkrail and LU clients.
  • Part of the MEP team of 70 members across all levels.
  • Ensure project milestones are met.
  • Problem solving in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
  • Work with leading contractors on detail design and take the project to final testing, commissioning and handover.
  • This role reports to the Technical Director – MEP.
Qualifications
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in multi‑disciplinary environments.
  • Chartered engineer status.
  • Electrical building services experience in rail or similar projects.
