Job summary

Enable Infrastructure is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support safe, compliant delivery of electrical infrastructure projects across HV/LV power systems. You will contribute from feasibility through to handover, translating client needs into practical engineering solutions and maintaining rigorous technical records.

The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting tenders, procurement, testing and commissioning, and ensuring quality and compliance in all engineering

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Developing and reviewing electrical specifications, drawings, schedules, calculations and technical reports.
• Supporting HV/LV distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, cables, earthing, protection, metering and control interfaces.
• Preparing and coordinating single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable schedules, load assessments and equipment-selection information.
• Supporting cable-sizing, voltage-drop, fault-level, protection-coordination and earthing studies.
• Translating client requirements and survey information into clear engineering deliverables.
• Coordinating electrical interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, control and communications disciplines.
• Supporting tenders, site surveys, feasibility assessments, engineering estimates and technical scopes.
• Preparing procurement information and assessing supplier submissions against specifications.
• Monitoring engineering deliverables and identifying technical risks, design changes and long-lead items.
• Providing practical technical support to project managers, site teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contributing to risk assessments, method statements, inspection and test plans, quality records and design-risk reviews.
• Supporting factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning activities and readiness for energisation.
• Compiling and reviewing as-built drawings, equipment records, operation and maintenance information, and handover documentation.
• Capturing lessons learned and helping improve engineering standards, templates and delivery processes.
