Job Description:
Job Title: Mobile Electrical Engineer
Location: London and Southeast England
Hours: 41.25 per week plus 1 Saturday per month
Salary: Up to £42,000
Overview: To work as a mobile engineer within the Electrical Services Department. This role suits an individual who can work independently, is proactive, reliable, and has excellent communication skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with legislation & maintenance programmes.
- Maintain engineering standards to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability.
- Assist with EICRs within commercial properties.
- Conduct annual emergency light testing.
- Perform electrical compliance tasks as per SFG-20.
- Diagnose & rectify faults on electrical systems within commercial installations.
- Complete minor works installation & issue NICEIC Certification.
- Communicate with the electrical admin team to foster good relationships.
- Work supportively within a team.
- Complete accurate logs & certifications.
- Submit clear task sheets and reports, including photographs.
- Assist in surveys for quoted works.
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
- Flexible working, including nighttime works, may be required.
- Perform any other reasonable instructions from management.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electrical installation works within commercial properties.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and certification requirements.
- Ability to fault find electrical faults.
- Experience in emergency light testing.
- Understanding of daily tasks as per SFG-20.
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified electrician – City & Guilds 2360 (or equivalent) & NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2.
- IPAF (preferred but not essential).
- PASMA (preferred but not essential).
Personal Qualities/Skills:
- Valid driving license.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Logical problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Keen to learn and assist when needed.
