Job summary

Penguin Recruitment seeks an Electrical Engineer (Intermediate-Level) to join a London-based MEP consultancy delivering sustainable building services across sectors. You will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to develop coordinated designs and implement efficient electrical solutions.

The ideal candidate has a relevant Electrical Engineering degree and UK consultancy experience, with a focus on building services design and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Relevant Electrical Engineering degree required for the role.
• Experience in electrical building services design within UK-based MEP consultancy.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
• Proficiency with design software including Revit, ProDesign and Bluebeam preferred.
• Interest in sustainable engineering and energy-efficient design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear technical conveyance.
• Working towards chartership or ready to begin the process.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems for various sectors.
• Produce detailed technical designs and documentation to high standards.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, clients and stakeholders.
• Attend client and design team meetings for input and updates.
• Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress and compliance.
• Support and mentor graduate engineers in their development.
• Develop practical, sustainable engineering solutions and energy efficiency.
• Manage workload across multiple projects.
