Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join an established company delivering electrical installation and engineering projects across industrial environments. You will be a hands-on qualified electrician, solving practical problems and delivering projects through to completion on site.

The role involves supporting electrical installations, equipment connections, testing, commissioning and working in a team of experienced engineers across industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or time served apprenticeship.
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation work across industrial and process environments.
• Install and connect electrical equipment, containment, cabling and associated systems.
• Work with electrical panels, control equipment and industrial machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.
• Support electrical testing, fault-finding and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve electrical installation issues on site.
• Collaborate with engineers and trades to complete installations safely.

Electrical Engineer - Industrial

£39,520–£43,680 per annum + Significant Overtime Opportunities

40 hours per week | Company Vehicle | Permanent

Substantial overtime is available for those who want it, with some existing engineers earning approximately £80,000 annually through additional hours.

Andrews Recruitment Group are one of the UK’s leading Aggregate and Building Material recruitment partners, and we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join an established engineering company delivering electrical installation and engineering projects across industrial and process environments.

This is a hands‑on role for a qualified electrician who enjoys varied work, solving practical problems and seeing projects through to completion.

You’ll be working on industrial sites, supporting electrical installations, equipment connections, testing and commissioning activities as part of an experienced engineering team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out electrical installation work across industrial and process engineering environments.
• Installing and connecting electrical equipment, containment, cabling and associated systems.
• Working with electrical panels, control equipment and industrial machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation.
• Supporting electrical testing, fault‑finding and commissioning activities.
• Identifying and resolving electrical installation issues on site.
• Working alongside engineers, project teams and other trades to complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, electrical safety and site compliance.
• Supporting projects across a range of industrial customer sites.

What We’re Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or time served apprenticeship
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• AM2 Electrotechnical Assessment of Competence.

Experience and skills:

• Practical experience carrying out electrical installations.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
• Good understanding of electrical safety and installation standards.
• Confident working independently and as part of a site‑based engineering team.
• A practical approach to fault‑finding and problem‑solving.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach when working on customer sites.

Experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, utilities, aggregates, infrastructure or other heavy industrial environments would be particularly useful.
