Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance at AFC Harrogate College. You will ensure safety and compliance, perform testing and inspections, and support a wide facilities management team.

The role includes on-call duties on a rotating basis and requires a full UK driving license. Join a large organisation offering extensive benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in hard facilities management or building services.
• HNC/BTEC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Qualification to IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
• Experience carrying out electrical testing and inspections.
• Experience with CAFM/CMMS systems.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs across the estate.
• Diagnosing electrical faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Completing electrical testing, inspections and certification per current regulations.
• Ensuring maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Using CAFM systems to manage work orders and recordkeeping.
• Working with the facilities team to deliver excellent customer service.
