Job summary

Mitie in Balderstone, Blackburn is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our facilities management team. The role covers the safe and efficient operation of client facilities across the site in commercial and industrial environments.

You will carry out electrical safety checks, PAT testing and planned/reactive maintenance, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain accurate records with company IT systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2/3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• IT literate with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience within facilities maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical safety checks, PAT testing, and reactive repairs.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and reports using company IT systems.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes through inspections, monitoring, and participation in the on-call duty rota.
