Job Description:

We have a current opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis for a 6-12 month project assignment with the possibility of extension upon successful completion of the project. The position will be based in East Kilbride with an engineering and construction company.

Responsibilities include:

• Design electrical systems to relevant IEC standards
• Perform lighting calculations using relevant software
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
• Ensure electrical designs meet safety codes and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and instrumentation engineers
• Provision of technical support to the tendering and project teams
• Review/approval of installation drawings and diagrams
• Review/validation of vendor designs and documentation (mechanical packages and motors, 1kW to 3000kW)
• Integrate with other staff to ensure the cost-effective development and execution of the project

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Approximately 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC), and safety practices
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design software
