RSP Consulting Engineers - Part of Drees & Sommer seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop electrical services designs under project leaders. You will work independently or with a team, reporting to senior staff and communicating with clients.

You will prepare calculations and designs for M&E installations, manage your workload, and support technicians to meet deadlines while adhering to the company’s management systems.

Formación

• Degree qualified or working towards IET/CIBSE membership.
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel within the UK, including early starts or overnight stays.
• Experience with electrical services design on varied projects.
• Proficiency with industry design software (NBS, Bentley Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux or similar).
• AutoCAD and Revit experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under a project leader and be responsible for the electrical services design development in accordance with project objectives.
• Work competently on an independent basis or as part of a wider team and be responsible for reporting to senior staff.
• Communicate directly with clients and other design team members, including attendance at meetings.
• Undertake the preparation on calculations and comprehensive design associated with M&E Building installations.
• Manage your own workload and support a team of technicians to suit project deadlines and requirements.
• Prepare concept and preliminary engineering solutions for design.
• Prepare technical reports, documents and specifications.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other design team members.
• Be actively involved in compliance with RSP Business Management Systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with electrical services design on a varying range of projects.
• Good and confident communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry design software (i.e. NBS, Bentley Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux or similar).
• AutoCAD and Revit Experience.

Requirements

• Preferably working towards being or Degree qualified and working towards IET/CIBSE membership.
• 5 years + relevant experience.
• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Willingness to do overtime, when and if required.
• Must be prepared to travel within the UK. This may involve early morning starts, late finishes and occasionally overnight stays.
