Job summary

SeAH Wind in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Automation/PLC) to join the Maintenance team. You will be the site SME for industrial automation, electrical controls and machine integration, ensuring safe, reliable operation of automated production equipment.

You will diagnose faults, optimise performance, drive OEE improvements and support commissioning of new lines. You’ll program and modify PLCs, HMIs and parameters, lead control system improvements and mentor

Qualifications

Minimum a relevant BTEC or HNC qualification, ideally supported by a degree in Electrical, Automation or a related Engineering discipline.
Proven PLC programming experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, electrical controls and machine integration.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation faults across production equipment.
Optimise machine performance and support commissioning of new manufacturing lines.
Take ownership of PLC systems, electrical controls and automated equipment and drive improvements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and future automation projects.
Provide guidance and support to maintenance technicians and production teams.
