P Blackhall Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer / Electrician for a full-time, on-site role. You will carry out domestic and commercial electrical installations, maintenance and repair work while delivering a high standard of workmanship.

The position offers opportunities to work across solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and other renewable projects, with training provided to develop new skills within the renewables portfolio.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with domestic and/or commercial experience.
• Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and installation standards.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Experience with solar PV, battery storage, EV charging or renewables is beneficial but not essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic and commercial electrical installation, maintenance and repair work.
• Complete allocated jobs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Carry out electrical testing, inspection, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Work on solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and renewable installations.

Electrical Engineer / Electrician

This full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth.

Join a 5th-Generation Family Business. P Blackhall has been serving customers across Edinburgh since 1913. Today, we're continuing to grow our Electrical & Renewables division and are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrician to join our team.

You're expected to take pride in your work, have high standards and be comfortable working across a varied range of domestic and commercial electrical installations. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on our growing portfolio of renewable energy projects, including solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and heat pump installations. Previous renewables experience would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. For the right electrician, we'll provide the training and support required to develop these skills.

The Role

• Carry out domestic and commercial electrical installation, maintenance and repair work
• Complete allocated jobs efficiently and to a high standard
• Carry out electrical testing, inspection, fault finding and troubleshooting
• Work on a growing range of solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and renewable installations
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations and P Blackhall's quality standards
• Complete the necessary job documentation and certification
• Communicate professionally with customers and the wider P Blackhall team
• Take responsibility for delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service

What We're Looking For

• A fully qualified electrician
