A leading Facilities Management company in Ringway is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to perform planned maintenance and reactive works on site. The successful candidate will have qualifications in electrical installation and experience with HVAC systems. Qualifications

Electrical Engineer

£40,000

Electrical Engineer needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Engineer that takes pride in their work.

What the role entails
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities and reactive works on site as a resident electrician.
  • Complete all statutory and non-statutory PPM in accordance with annual PPM planners and task instruction sets and customers SLA's & RPI's.
  • Use CAFM systems to complete reactive and PPM tasks in line with our SLA's & KPl's.
  • Keep all site logbooks up to date with relevant information and certification.
  • Identify maintenance needs and produce technical reports on equipment.
  • Respond & repair any reactive calls raised through the dedicated Service desk and provide relevant task information to the Administration team to ensure all jobs are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer and within the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Read, understand and work to generic site PPM risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), completing any additional RAMS for large works not covered or a point of work general risk assessments for smaller tasks.
  • Supervise/escort subcontractors whilst on site ensuring they follow site security procedures, ensuring work to their RAMs and within EQLJANS safe working procedures.

If you have your IPAF licence that will be a bonus.

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Engineer
  • NVQ Levels 2 & 3 Electrical Installation.
  • Qualified to BS#removed#th Edition Regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Test.
  • Inspection and Testing of electrical equipment (PAT testing) BS2377.
  • Asbestos awareness (preferable but not essential).
  • IPAF Powered Access Licence (preferable but not essential).
  • PASMA (preferable but not essential).
  • First aid trained (preferably but not essential).
  • Be computer literate, including operation of Handheld PDA.
  • Maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment.
  • Fault finding and diagnosis of HVAC equipment.
  • Operation and interrogation of BMS.
  • Understanding of fire protection systems.
  • Understanding of Plumbing systems.
