Job summary

Polyteck Building Services in Central London is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to carry out installation, maintenance, fault finding, inspection, testing and commissioning across client sites. This site-based role suits an electrician who takes pride in workmanship and can represent the business with clients.

You will work on 18th edition compliance, perform diagnostics, coordinate materials, and support apprentices.

Qualifications

• Certified 18th Edition with on-site installation experience.
• Experience with 1st and 2nd fix installations.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostics on site.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• DBS clearance preferred or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works.

Electrical Engineer – Testing & Inspection

Central London 8:00am–4:30pm

Join Polyteck Building Services and work across high-profile client sites throughout Central London. We're looking for an experienced Electrician to carry out electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, inspection, testing and commissioning. This is a varied site-based role suited to an electrician who takes pride in their workmanship, can work independently and is comfortable representing the business directly with clients.

What you'll be doing

• Electrical installation, maintenance and remedial works
• 1st and 2nd fix electrical work
• Fault finding and diagnosis
• Inspection, testing and commissioning
• Reactive callouts
• Completing electrical reports, job sheets and certification
• Maintaining accurate site logbooks and records
• Coordinating materials and equipment with the Electrical Operations Manager
• Working safely in accordance with RAMS and Health & Safety requirements
• Liaising professionally with clients, tenants and site representatives
• Supporting apprentices and other engineers where required

What we're looking for

Essential

• 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
• Proven on-site electrical installation and maintenance experience
• Strong 1st and 2nd fix experience
• Good fault-finding ability

Desirable

• City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
