Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Team Leader to supervise a team of electrical and mechanical engineers across multiple sites.

You will oversee asset overhauls, complex repairs, and installations, ensuring compliance with CDM and safety standards while planning standby cover and travel to sites as required.

  • Experience in industrial environments.
  • NVQ or recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering maintenance Level 3.
  • BS Inspection & Testing qualification
  • 18th Edition training
  • ICA experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Compex Trained
  • Confined Space Trained
  • First Aid Trained
  • IOSH Trained

Responsibilities

  • Lead a senior team of electrical or mechanical engineers and fitters on multiple sites.
  • Carry out electrical asset overhauls and replacements.
  • Undertake complex electrical repairs and modifications on dewatering equipment.
  • Work under CDM regulations on projects.
  • Lead remedial work on dewatering EICA systems.
  • Troubleshoot dewatering electrical systems: filtration, centrifuge.
  • Design and install electrical control systems including switchgear per WIMES.
  • Complete wiring and cabling works.
  • Prepare permits to work and safety documentation; complete test reports and certificates.
  • Standby cover and overtime, with travel to sites as required.

Job description

  • Work as the senior team leader of a team of other electrical or mechanical engineers and mechanical fitters, often consisting of two or more engineers across a range of sites
  • Carry out electrically complex and detailed asset overhauls and replacements
  • Undertake complex electrical repairs and modifications dewatering equipment, pumps, pipework, valves and other ancillary equipment
  • Working under CDM regulations on projects work
  • Leading remedial work on dewatering EICA systems
  • Troubleshooting on dewatering electrical systems: filtration, centrifuge
  • Design and installation to WIMES of electrical control systems including switchgear
  • Complete wiring and cabling works
  • Carry out electrical inspections, services and repairs to customers' dewatering assets machines
  • Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as well as flexibility to work away from home
  • Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents
  • Complete customer paperwork such as permits to work and safety paperwork
