Job summary

Samuel Frank is recruiting an Electrical Project Engineer to join a major manufacturing site in Deeside, North West. You will manage capital projects from concept through commissioning on a site investing heavily in plant improvements and long‑term development.

The role requires strong project and contract management, coordinating with operations, maintenance, suppliers and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant experience; CapEx project delivery in heavy industry preferred.
• Knowledge of functional safety, CDM regulations, machinery safety, PLCs, drives and instrumentation advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of CapEx and plant improvement projects, coordinating with operations, maintenance, contractors and suppliers to deliver safely on time and within budget.
• Maintain excellent communication; strong project, stakeholder and contract management skills.

Electrical Project Engineer - Deeside / North West - Capital Projects

£46-50k + overtime + 10% Pension + Quarterly Bonus + BUPA

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a major manufacturing site in the Deeside area. This is an opportunity to work as part of a projects team on electrically biased capital projects from concept through to commissioning on a site that is investing heavily in plant improvements and long‑term development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of CapEx and plant improvement projects, working closely with operations, maintenance, contractors and suppliers to safely deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication; strong project, stakeholder and contract management skills.
• Deliver electrically biased capital projects from concept, design and specification through to installation, commissioning and handover.
• Produce project plans, progress reports and governance documentation in line with recognised project management principles.
• Develop electrical engineering specifications, risk assessments, management of change documentation and HAZOP documentation.
• Manage equipment suppliers and installation activities on site.
• Support plant improvement, process enhancement and manufacturing development projects.
• Work closely with engineering, production, procurement, finance and HSE teams throughout project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or HND/HNC qualified in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience; prior experience delivering CapEx projects within heavy industry, manufacturing, process, metals, chemical, utilities or similar environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of functional safety, CDM regulations, machinery safety, Siemens or Rockwell PLCs, AC/DC drives and instrumentation would be advantageous.
