Job summary

HR GO Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Folkestone, Kent. The role covers installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Working hours are 08:00–16:00, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The ideal candidate will have Level 2 City & Guilds, a valid UK passport, ECS card, and proven electrical engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Valid UK passport.
• Level 2 City & Guilds qualification.
• Proven experience in an Electrical Engineer or similar electrical fitting role.
• Valid ECS card (or equivalent certification).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, with effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• A valid driving licence

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment (wiring, switches, outlets, circuit breakers).
• Complete routine inspections and electrical testing to identify faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose issues and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
• Work safely at all times, following relevant QHSE procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, regulations and industry standards.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documents.
• Maintain accurate records, including maintenance and repair logs.
• Support apprentices and junior electricians when required.
