Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a hospital facilities team in Bishop's Stortford on a temporary contract, starting ASAP. The role covers electrical remedial works, PMs and on-site maintenance.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with on-call duties (£150 per active on-call week plus paid call-out hours) and a focus on safety compliance in healthcare environments. Previous hospital/building services experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification + AM2 (or equivalent) - Essential
• 2391 Inspection & Testing - Desirable, NOT essential
• Previous electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Experience within commercial buildings or healthcare environments

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical remedial works following five-year electrical testing.
• Distribution board maintenance, repairs and circuit relabelling.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical repairs.
• Electrical fault finding and general building services maintenance.
• Supporting basic mechanical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring all works comply with relevant electrical safety regulations and site procedures.
• Participating in the rotational on-call rota.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for consistent work, with a minimum two-month contract and the potential for ongoing work.

• Knowledge of HTM regulations beneficial.
• IOSH or NEBOSH desirable.
• DBS check required - we can assist with arranging this.
• Willingness to support general maintenance duties.
