Job summary

Artic Building Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer for on-site roles within the HVAC and building services sector. The position is a 12-month FTC with a view to permanent for the right candidate, starting ASAP.

Typical hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with on-site duties and training provided. Candidates should have at least 3 years of trade experience, NVQ 2/3 electrical qualifications, and a solid history in building services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years trade experience.
• NVQ 2/3 Electrical qualifications.
• Completed apprenticeship with relevant electrical qualifications including up-to-date Test & Inspection.
• Experience in HVAC and Building Services environments.
• 18 Edition electrical installations desirable.
• Proven history in HVAC/Building Services sector.
• Team player with good time management and paperwork handling.
• Able to develop long-term client relationships and identify additional works.
• Positive, proactive attitude; flexible on hours and on-site problem solving.
• Commercial awareness to drive additional works.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site electrical installation and maintenance support.
• Coordinate with HVAC/building services teams to deliver projects.
• Support administration with on-site paperwork and reports.
• Assist in client liaison and ensuring safety compliance on site.

Skills Required:

• Completed applicable apprenticeship and possess relevant Electrical industry qualifications. Including up to date Test Inspection
• Comprehensive working experience from an HVAC and Building Services environment.
• 18 Edition Electrical Installations is desirable.
• A continuous history of employment within the HVAC and Building Services industry.
• Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage their own time, works and paperwork.
• Capable of building long term relationships with clients both of existing and prospective
• Positive attitude “can do, will do”.
• Flexible in approach to hours and solving problems on site.
• Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works / sales.
• Provide technical support to administration staff as required.
