Job summary

PICS Therapeutics Ltd in the UK is seeking an experienced engineer for the design, prototype manufacture, and testing of miniature brushless DC motors and controllers. Ideal candidates should have a PhD in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and experience with battery technology.

You will collaborate with technical staff and external partners to develop prototypes suitable for implantation and trials. Strong skills in CAD design and electrical motor simulations are essential.

Job description

Design, prototype manufacture and testing of miniature brushless DC motors and controllers with analytic and experimental techniques.

Prior experience with battery technology is highly desirable.

Assisting with building test rigs to test motors (and the pumps they drive) under various simulated conditions.

Lead to prototypes suitable for implantation and trials in animals and humans.

Reports to the CTO and CEO, liaises with fellow technical staff and external collaborators.
