Job summary

Parkinson Gray Associates, a Building Services consultancy, invites an Intermediate Electrical Designer to join their Warrington team. You’ll work across residential, retail, logistics, education and commercial projects, from early concepts to detailed design, integrating with BIM and sustainability focus.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to energy analysis and low-carbon design, and collaboration with BIM specialists and senior engineers to deliver coordinated electrical solutions.

Qualifications

• 35 years' experience in UK Building Services consultancy.
• Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, residential, retail, industrial, logistics or education buildings.
• Good knowledge of LV distribution, lighting and small power.
• Experience producing electrical calculations, specifications and coordinated design information.
• Comfortable using Revit and BIM-led design environments.
• Ability to coordinate with Mechanical, Public Health and other disciplines.
• Familiar with British Standards, CIBSE guidance and UK Building Services practice.
• Willing to own electrical packages with support from Senior Engineers.
• Interest in sustainable design and low-carbon buildings is valuable.
• CIBSE membership or route to professional registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical building services designs across a range of projects.
• Support Senior Engineers and wider project team from early design to detailed design.
• Produce technical information and take ownership of defined electrical packages.
• Coordinate design work within the wider project and BIM coordination.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Public Health and Sustainability engineers.
