Job summary

Eaton is recruiting for a Design & Engineering Lead (Electrical) for the Data Centres segment in the UK. The role focuses on leading the electrical design from concept through construction support, collaborating with customers, sales, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.

Based in the UK with remote work options and up to 30% travel across EMEA, you will mentor the DC Design & Engineering team and drive design quality, standards, and best practices while engaging

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in electrical design across power distribution, industrial, commercial, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience designing electrical solutions including medium- and low-voltage power distribution, transformers, UPS, and standby generation.

Responsibilities

• Act as Design Manager on data centre projects, leading the electrical design scope from concept to construction support.
• Hands-on electrical design leadership and ownership of critical design aspects for mission critical facilities.
• Lead and coordinate electrical engineers and SMEs within a multidisciplinary design team.
• Manage design deliverables, resources, schedules, and quality across projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentoring to the DC Design & Engineering team.
• Develop, implement, and uphold electrical design quality standards and best practices.
• Review and approve designs, calculations, reports, and specs; facilitate peer reviews.
