Job summary
Staffbase Recruitment Ltd is assisting a client, an established manufacturer of special purpose machinery, in recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer. You will design and develop new controls systems for automated machinery and robotics, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
Expect 70% in-office design and 30% field work including installations and commissioning across the UK and Europe. Strong PLC/HMI programming skills and knowledge of Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron are
Qualifications
- Excellent PLC/HMI programming skills with knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi or Omron plc software.
- At least two years experience in a similar role.
- Qualified in electrical engineering e.g. NVQ 3, HND, 18th edition.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software controls from customer requirements.
- Upgrade and modify existing control systems per specifications.
- Assist with on-site installations and commissioning.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support for customers and field engineers.
- PLC & HMI programming.
- Undertake project work as required.
