Job summary

AVK-SEG Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Modular Electrical Design Engineer to join the Modular Services team. You will develop detailed LV electrical designs for Modular Power Pods, from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning, working with mechanical, BIM and production peers.

The role emphasises collaboration, DfMA-focused design, and delivering compliant, high-quality power solutions for data centres.

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing detailed electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical or similar software.
• Experience within LV electrical design, including MV/LV switchgear & power distribution.
• Ability to interpret GA drawings, electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
• Familiarity with LV switchgear, cable routing principles and electrical safety standards.
• Understanding of off-site manufacturing principles.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D electrical designs for LV Modular Power Pods using AutoCAD Electrical and related tools.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, panel layouts and manufacturing/build packs.
• Interpret client specifications and datasheets to create compliant design solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Design, BIM, Production and Project teams to deliver integrated designs.
• Support Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) to improve efficiency and installation.
• Provide technical support throughout design, build, FAT, installation and commissioning.
