Job summary

SYOS Aerospace seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design, integrate, and test electrical systems for advanced Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs). You will develop marine-ready architectures and ensure reliable operation in harsh maritime environments.

You will work with mechanical, systems, and software teams to deliver robust electrical designs, harness drawings, BOMs, and test plans. This role requires hands-on testing and documentation in a dynamic, security-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems design, preferably in marine or robotics.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools for schematics and harness drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical architectures for USV platforms, supporting both mission-critical and auxiliary systems.
• Create detailed wiring harnesses, power distribution networks, and EMC/EMI-compliant layouts.
• Select, evaluate, and qualify electrical components (power supplies, DC-DC converters, relays, connectors, sensors, protection devices).
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct system-level electrical testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for bench tests, harbour acceptance tests, and sea trials.
