Job summary

SubSea Craft Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop and prototype electrical and electronic systems for specialist platforms. You will work across concept to prototype, combining electrical design with hands-on workshop activities in a fast-paced environment.

You will design power distribution, wiring, selection of components, and integration of sensors, controllers, and communications. A pragmatic, iterative approach and experience with lab testing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering or related STEM.
• Experience designing, building, integrating, or testing electrical/electronic systems.
• Strong understanding of DC power, protection, grounding, signal integrity.
• Hands-on ability with measurement and testing equipment.
• Experience creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and electronic systems for platform projects.
• Create system architecture, schematics, wiring diagrams, and harnesses.
• Perform power budgets, voltage drop, current loading calculations.
• Integrate sensors, controllers, telemetry, and subsystems.
• Document BOMs, drawings, definitions, and test procedures.
• Support off-site trials and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with suppliers on components and obsolescence.
• Support electrical testing, bench and system tests.
• Prototype electrical systems from concept to working models.
