Job summary

Progressive is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in Sheffield to join a team delivering high‑integrity electrical systems for heavy industrial machinery. You will contribute to detailed design, documentation and project lifecycle activities across sites.

The role focuses on electrical hardware design, including power distribution, motor control and drive systems, with hybrid working arrangements and strong career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience for machinery or industrial equipment.
• Experience producing electrical schematics and engineering documentation.
• Experience with MCCs, control panels and motor control systems.
• Knowledge of drives, motors and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Electrical schematic design and development for heavy machinery.
• MCC and control panel design and power distribution planning.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities.
