Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design of commercial solar PV systems, with emphasis on 250kW+ rooftop installations across UK sites. You will translate information from the sales/surveying team into accurate electrical drawings and submit cable routes, distribution layouts and connection details.

The role offers hybrid working options, a basic salary around £55,000 negotiable with experience, and benefits including 36 days holiday

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical drawings for commercial solar PV installations (250kW+).
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution, cable routing and safety in solar projects.
• Desirable: direct experience installing solar PV systems; NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design of commercial solar PV systems, focusing on 250kW+ rooftop installs.
• Create and submit technical drawings for cable routes, distribution and connections.
• Provide technical support to installers and liaise with clients during projects.
