Job summary

EDF power solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead technical decisions across solar PV, battery storage and private wire projects. You will guide development, design, construction and handover, ensuring safety, compliance and commercial viability.

This hybrid role offers a competitive salary plus potential annual bonus. You will spend time in London, Edinburgh or Durham offices and travel to project sites as needed, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to accelerate the UK

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering infrastructure or energy projects across lifecycle stages.
• Knowledge of UK standards, regulations and grid requirements relevant to renewable energy projects.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Providing electrical engineering support across a portfolio of solar PV, battery storage and private wire projects.
• Supporting projects through development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Reviewing and assuring engineering outputs from consultants, contractors and OEMs.
• Supporting optioneering and feasibility assessments to identify practical and commercially viable solutions.
• Contributing to engineering standards, technical specifications and employer requirements.
• Supporting procurement activities through technical assessment of tender submissions.
• Identifying and helping manage engineering risks in line with project and business requirements.
• Providing technical guidance to engineers and project teams.
• Promoting continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across projects.
• Representing EDF power solutions in technical discussions with external stakeholders as required.
