Job summary

Time Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a respected electrical contractor in Rochdale for an Electrical Design Engineer. You will manage projects from client briefing to detailed electrical designs and drawings using AutoCAD.

This permanent, office-based role offers a clear progression path and exposure to commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the North West. Salary is £40,000–£50,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical design for contracting environments.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specs and drawings.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and electrical design solutions.
• Conduct site surveys and attend customer meetings as required.
• Produce detailed electrical designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients for approval.
• Update drawings based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with current industry regulations and standards.
• Liaise with project managers, estimators, and site teams during delivery.
• Support projects from design through to installation and handover.
