Vertical Recruitment is working closely with one of the industry's leading Building Services Consultancies. Operating from six strategically placed UK offices, they offer the full range of building services design and engineering solutions across Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability. The business has a proven track record in delivering a high-quality service across a range of industry sectors.

An employee-focused organization, committed to investing and nurturing its people throughout the business. Due to the acquisition of some major projects in the Healthcare and Commercial Sectors, the business is looking to attract Electrical Building Services Design Engineers.

Responsibilities:

1. Produce Electrical Design drawings, calculations & reports, specifications, and schedules.
2. Contribute to BREEAM or equivalent legislation.
3. Witness test the proving and commissioning procedures of final installations.
4. Work to internal and external project programs effectively.
5. Work to company Quality Assurance management systems.
6. Support Senior/Associate Engineers and Management.
7. Communicate effectively with internal and external design team members.
8. Undertake non-intrusive surveys of existing installations.
9. Undertake main plant area spatial allowance exercises.
10. Ensure industry knowledge is kept up to date with new legislation, standards and regulations, product development, and new technology.
11. Attend and contribute to design team and project meetings.
12. Study towards chartership and maintain CPD requirements.
13. Liaise with lead and/or support engineers to ensure that discipline designs are completed to expected quality and programme.
14. Collaborate and work effectively with all others affecting or affected by your work.
15. Carry out all personal management duties including weekly timesheets.
16. Comply with all security procedures and commercial in-confidence restrictions associated with work.

Education and Experience:

1. Engineering Degree.
2. Minimum Engineering HNC/D or equivalent qualification.
3. Alternatively, suitable Construction site-based experience with a recognized completed electrical apprenticeship.
