Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)

Your new company
You will be working for a well-established Building Services consultancy, which works across sectors including high-end residential, education, commercial, and heritage. They provide services such as Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainable Design, and BIM. This is an exciting time to join the team as they expand into larger and new offices in different locations.
Your new role
The main purpose of this role is the design of electrical engineering for building services. You will be:

• Managing multiple projects and prioritising workload to meet deadlines
• Surveying and reporting on electrical systems in buildings
• Preparing technical specifications and drawings using industry-standard software
• Designing electrical installations to meet British Standards
• Developing design proposals at various stages
• Preparing tender documentation and reports
• Demonstrating passion for electrical design engineering and a willingness to learn
• Supporting senior staff in managing client and team relationships

You may be required to undertake other duties to achieve objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have electrical design experience and:

• HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Building Services or related field
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux, Relux
• Experience contributing to design team meetings
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel
