Electrical Design Engineer – Residential Building Services

Location: Office-based near Chatham, Kent

Salary: Up to £55,000

Working hours: Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm

What You’ll Do

• Producing design packages (cable calculations, schematics, layouts, specifications).
• Designing systems like lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security.
• Coordinating your designs into CAD drawings.
• Collaborating with other disciplines and supporting estimators when needed.
• Attending client meetings and offering technical input.
• Staying on top of evolving regulations and technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in electrical design for residential building services (2D).
• Must be able to commute to the Kent office.
• Strong knowledge of cable calculations, schematics, and UK regulations.
• Confident, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Revit experience is a bonus (but not essential — they’ve got that covered!).
