Job Description:

Green Data Talent is partnered up with a leader in power generation and renewable energy, who are currently in the market for an Electrical Design Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of high voltage electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of HV electrical systems and HV equipment (from concept to detailed design).
• Preparation of single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection schematics, layouts, and cable calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, BS, and relevant national standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to review and optimize designs.
• Participate in factory acceptance testing.
• Support project engineers and site teams during installation and commissioning phases
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and client submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s is advantageous).
• Proven design experience in high voltage or power system design (11kV–132kV).
• Proficiency in the use of E-Plan or similar design software, for the creation of electrical circuit diagrams.
• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for the creation of 2D drawings.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Due to the nature of projects, possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance is non-negotiable.
