Job summary

Strong Group in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a contractor-side design team in Greater Manchester. This permanent, office-based role offers full-time or part-time options and a salary up to £65,000 DOE.

The successful candidate will design LV power distribution, lighting, and safety systems using AutoCAD, Amtech and Relux/DIALux, ensure BS 7671 compliance, and collaborate with local engineering and project teams.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical design experience across residential, commercial and industrial building projects.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Amtech and Relux/DIALux.
• Detailed, up-to-date knowledge of BS 7671 wiring regulations.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate drawings, calculations and technical design information.
• Able to commute to the Ashton-under-Lyne office for the agreed working hours.

This permanent, office-based role supports a varied pipeline of residential, commercial and industrial construction projects, with full-time and part-time options available.

AutoCAD, Amtech and Relux/DIALux experience are essential.
