Job summary

Roc Search Europe Limited in Manchester is recruiting a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the electrical design of a diverse portfolio from concept through to completion. You will work within an experienced Building Services team, mentoring graduates, coordinating with mechanical engineers and architects, and supporting client development and project planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of a diverse portfolio of projects from concept through to completion.
• Lead the electrical design on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.
• Produce detailed electrical building services designs and technical specifications.
• Design LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, security and small power systems.
• Undertake electrical calculations, cable sizing and equipment selection.
• Coordinate designs with Mechanical Engineers, Architects and external design teams.
• Attend client, design and site meetings throughout project delivery.
• Mentor and support Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist with business development, fee proposals and project planning.
• Support the continued growth and development of the Electrical Design team.

Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to play a key role in both project delivery and the future growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have a clear pathway to Associate or Director level within the next three years, taking on greater responsibility across leadership, client development and team management.

The Role
