Job summary

Elastic Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing Building Services team. You will design and deliver electrical building services from concept through to completion, working closely with mechanical, public health and sustainability engineers.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years' experience, a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, and hands-on knowledge of LV systems, lighting and power, plus proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 4+ years' experience in electrical building services design.
• Experience in a Building Services consultancy environment with multi-disciplinary projects.

Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

I'm currently working with a well-established, award-winning Building Services consultancy that is looking to appoint an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 4+ years' experience in electrical building services design who is looking to work on a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projects across multiple sectors, alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

The Role

You will be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept through to completion, working closely with Mechanical, Public Health and Sustainability Engineers.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Designing electrical building services systems


• Producing technical drawings and specifications


• Carrying out electrical calculations


• Supporting power distribution and lighting design


• Coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams


• Attending client meetings and project reviews

What We're Looking For

• Experience within a Building Services consultancy


• Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering


• Experience designing LV electrical systems, lighting and power


• Familiar with industry software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, Relux or similar


• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant standards


• Ambition to continue progressing towards Chartership (desirable)
