Electrical Engineer - Building Services (Contract)

Location: Epsom (Hybrid)
Rate: Up to £47/hour Per Hour
Duration: Long-term potential

About the Role:

A leading global engineering, design, and project management consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their Building Services division. You'll work across diverse sectors such as Defence, Education, Commercial, and Transportation (decarbonisation focus)-contributing to energy-efficient, low-carbon, and sustainable infrastructure projects.

This role sits within a nationally recognised design practice that collaborates across UK offices and international teams, offering an exciting and dynamic environment to grow your expertise and take on technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and specification of electrical building services (power, lighting, life safety, telecoms, etc.).
• Conduct and oversee calculations using tools such as Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and in-house software.
• Prepare technical specifications with NBS.
• Collaborate with global delivery centres and BIM/Revit teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Proficient with Amtech/ProDesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
• Experienced in energy reduction, SALIX funding, and post-installation performance evaluation.
• Comfortable working in a design consultancy and/or contractor design setting.
