Job description

Ashstone MEP Ltd are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and work alongside our team of senior engineers, due to the continued growth of the company. We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years experience in the UK residential and commercial building services sector. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for mechanical engineering with the following areas of expertise:

• Good understanding of residential and commercial buildings
• Full understanding of Building Regulations, British Standards and CIBSE Guides
• Ability to undertake heating & cooling calculations using IES VE software
• Capable of completing pipe sizing calculations
• Good understanding of ASHP, EAHP & District heating networks
• Proficient in using AutoCAD, Revit is desirable but not essential
• Must be an effective communicator in both written and verbal skills
• Be able to manage their own time in order to meet strict deadlines
• An ability to follow company standards and use standard documents
• Liaise with senior members of staff to ensure that targets are met and that any issues arising on projects can be dealt with
• Preparation and reviewing of drawings completed by internal CAD team
• The role will predominantly be remote, however the business may require you to travel to meet with clients.
• You will be required to be fluent in English as our clients are UK based.
