Are you an Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on innovative projects that make a real difference? We are seeking a motivated and technically capable individual to join our growing design team in Cookstown, supporting the delivery of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation solutions across water and wastewater treatment projects

Vacancy Introduction

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role within our Control Panel Design team, taking responsibility for the design and delivery of EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) systems while working closely with clients and internal project teams. You will develop electrical and control system designs, produce technical documentation, support control strategy development, and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. The role also involves providing technical support during construction and commissioning, reviewing panel designs, assisting with equipment specification and selection, and ensuring all solutions meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.

Essential Requirements

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) design engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA systems and control system architectures.
• Experience producing electrical and control designs, including technical documentation and I/O schedules.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Desirable

• Experience working within the water or wastewater sector.
• Familiarity with EPLAN design software.
• Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and testing activities.
