True Engineers in Chelmsford is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a busy consultancy working on education, retail, healthcare and commercial sectors. You will be part of a close-knit team, receive training, and help deliver energy-conscious building services design.

Qualifications

• MEng / BEng in Electrical Engineering or an accredited building services degree.
• You will be an electrical design engineer with at least 3 years experience in building services.
• Experience of Dialux or Relux
• You will need to be an excellent communicator and to show a willingness to learn
• Due to the nature of some of the projects you must be a permanent resident having been in the UK for at least 5 years or a British passport holder.

Responsibilities

• Depending on your experience level you will be preparing outline design schemes or assisting senior engineers to do so.
• Visiting site during the construction phase to monitor progress
• Working as part of a design team delivering detailed designs on a wide variety of projects, producing drawings and specifications and carrying out calculations or guiding others to produce them.
• Assisting with the checking of documents
• Undertaking duties as to obtain further experience and training in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
• Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint

This electrical design engineer role is to join a busy, growing engineering consultancy, where you will be part of a close–knit team of engineers working on a range of sectors including education, retail, healthcare and commercial.
