Job summary

Aztrum is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Cambridge team. The role covers design and specification of electrical building services from concept to completion, coordinating with clients and the design team.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in electrical building services design, with knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and small power, and an understanding of HVAC integration. Autonomy and variety are key aspects of this opportunity.

• Strong technical knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and small power systems.
• Good working knowledge of HVAC systems and how electrical design integrates with mechanical services.
• Confident working independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to commute into the Cambridge office.

An SME building services firm is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with 3+ years' experience to join their growing Cambridge team, working across a varied portfolio of commercial, education, healthcare and residential projects.

This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit consultancy that offers genuine autonomy and variety, working on the full mechanical and electrical picture rather than being confined to one sector or building type.

About the role:

You'll take ownership of the design and specification of electrical building services systems, from concept through to completion, working closely with clients, the wider design team and HVAC/mechanical engineers to deliver fully coordinated building services solutions. You'll have real input into project delivery and the chance to develop your technical expertise across a varied workload.
